This route was used by horsemen to the courthouse in Ryd, which lies between Linneryd and Nöbbele. The area was once a part of Linneryds village but after a process the right to belong to Ulfsåkraholm in Växjö was given. Between lake Rottnen and the magical Tomtsjön is a 100 m long canal which was dug in the 1880s. It made it possible for steamboats to traffic between lakes. Horse- and wagon travel was taken to Tomtsjön, then train from Hovmantorp to the town of Wexiö. Steamboats lasted 43 years. The bridge over the canal is called Trollbron( the magical bridge). There is a walkpath around the 900 metres long lake with its steep shores.
