Älmeboda church ruin
Church from the early 12th century located in Älmeboda
Located just outside the village Älmeboda you'll find the remains of a Romanesque church believed to originate at some point from the first half of the 12th century. The church was rebuilt and changed shape over the years to make room for the growing parish, but eventually became too small and a new church was completed in Rävemåla in 1877. The old church was then left to decay but was restored in the mid 20th century to its present condition.
